We’re working to improve our BIPOC Peer Support Group and want your feedback!
For a few years now, Eating Disorders Nova Scotia has been offering a peer support group for those who are age 18+ and identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour. The intention is for this to be a space for racialized folks to discuss the complex, intersecting identities of being racialized and having lived and/or living experiences of disordered eating, body image, and/or self-esteem concerns.
Recently, this group has been structured as a drop-in group where participants register once and join whenever works for them, with sessions happening weekly on Tuesdays at 8pm Atlantic. As with our other peer support groups, this is a casual space to connect with others who have lived experience with disordered eating or an eating disorder and is facilitated by two trained Peer Mentors.
We want to continue to grow this space and ensure it meets the needs of the community.
So, we want to learn from you! What would you want this program to look like?
Your responses will be anonymous unless otherwise specified.
Upon completing this survey, you will be prompted to complete a short separate form if you would like the chance to win a $50 gift card. This keeps your submission of this form anonymous, while allowing us to contact you to send you the gift card. One winner is drawn on October 31st, 2026 and will be contacted by email.
Are you Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour? Please only complete this form if you are part of this community.
